Welcome to Soul Journey Music
A personal letter from composer J. Aaron Stanley…
Dear Music Lover,
I am a believer.
I believe in God. I believe in the interconnectedness of all things. I believe in the ultimate goodness of humanity, despite some of the terrible things we do to ourselves. We are connected, you and I. And that’s more important than any religion or creed.
My faith is increasingly influencing the creation and direction of my music. I believe all music is sacred—not just “religious” music. Music is, after all, the language of the soul. And just as each soul is on its own journey, each composition is a unique temporal journey, as well.
The road to peace and serenity is paved with many trials and sufferings to overcome. Resolution has no meaning without tension preceding it. Which is why you’ll find as much drama and tension in my music as a soundtrack to a Hollywood action flick. But you’ll also find—particularly from here on forward—an expressive lyricism reflective of the peace and serenity I’ve been discovering lately.
I invite you to look around. Read my blog. Check out my music. And if you believe in what I’m doing, consider performing one of my works, or even commissioning a new composition.
Performances and commissions help me focus on fulfilling my mission of making a unique contribution to the musical legacy of humanity. I hope you’ll join me in creating a repertoire of positive, soul-inspiring music for our generation and those to come.
Yours in Spirit,
J. Aaron Stanley
